The largest facility for the manufacture of oil products and oil refinement in northeastern Kazakhstan is Enerplus, LLP, one of the three oil refineries in the Republic. Enerplus, LLP owns 60% of the company’s ownership. Since it opened in 2018, the refinery’s primary focus has been on processing crude oil from West Siberian oil deposits. The company has the capacity to handle 6.0 million tons of crude oil per year. A variety of oil products are produced by Enerplus, LLP. Bitumen in various grades (for use on roofs, buildings, and roads), petroleum coke, liquefied hydrocarbon gases, oil fuel (mazout), motor gasoline, diesel fuel, and vacuum gas oil are among the items covered.
The refinery’s structure consists of the following complexes: the complex of primary distillation of crude oil (LK-6U); the complex of compounding and oil product dispatch; the complex of advanced processing of crude oil (a fuel complex, KT-1 for deep processing of fuel oil); and the complex of processing heavy oil residue, which includes multiple process units, including a delayed coking unit, a delayed coking unit, and a delayed coking unit.
