The process of ensuring emergency preparedness and response to them at Enerplus, LLP is carried out in accordance with legal requirements and internal regulatory documents. Risk assessment in the field of emergency response is governed by the Documented Procedure “Identification of hazardous hazardous production factors, risk assessment and establishment of control measures.” According to the document, the Company identifies and assesses risks in the field of emergency situations based on three approaches: – using relevant operating data of the Company’s facilities to determine the frequency with which these events occurred in the past, and, based on this, determining estimates of the frequency with which they will happen in the future; -prediction of event frequencies using such technical techniques as analysis of a diagram of all possible consequences of a system malfunction or accident (“fault tree”) and analysis of a diagram of the possible consequences of a given event (“event tree”); -use of expert opinion.

Work with contractors

Enerplus, LLP strives to provide a responsible approach when working with contractors, based on respect and interaction between both parties in terms of managing aspects of HSE. When concluding an agreement for the provision of goods, works and services (hereinafter referred to as GWS), contractors are subject to requirements in the field of health and safety. In accordance with the established labor relations, contractors performing work at the facilities of Enerplus, LLP are required to comply with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Company’s standards and norms in the field of HSE. Where applicable, contractors are required to develop a plan to ensure a safe working environment in order to prevent and minimize risks depending on the work performed. At the same time, contractors independently monitor compliance with safety and labor protection requirements.

In accordance with the Rules for the preparation, approval, conclusion, execution and monitoring of contracts (purchase) Enerplus, LLP has established mandatory requirements for the Contractor/Contractor organizations in the field of health protection, industrial safety and environmental protection. The Contractor/Contractor must provide services or perform work in compliance with current standards on labor safety and health, industrial, fire and transport safety, environmental protection, main pipeline and other regulations in force in the territory of work/service provision and take all necessary measures to prevent deaths, accidents, damage to property and the environment. The Contractor/Contractor agrees to provide services or perform work in accordance with the standards, rules and policies in the field of Health, Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection (hereinafter referred to as 03, HSE) of the Contractor/Contractor and the Company.
